![]() I would like to say thanks to everyone that supports this website and all of us over here in theater.
The Soldiers' Angels was started by a self-described "ordinary mother" of an ordinary young man turned hero, Sgt. Brandon Varn. Brandon was deployed in Iraq and has since honorably completed his mission and has returned back to his proud and loving family. In the summer of 2003, he wrote home expressing his concern that some soldiers did not receive any mail or support from home. Being a caring and loving mother, she decided not to allow a situation like that to continue. She contacted a few friends and extended family to ask if they would write to a soldier or two. Soldiers' Angels currently supports thousands of American Service Members stationed wherever we raise our Country's Flag and the number is growing daily. We also work tirelessly supporting our Wounded Soldiers, with backpacks filled with needed items , personal visits, phone calls, etc. Additionally, we send our thanks via letters and email to the military of Great Britain, Poland and Australia who serve by our soldiers side in Iraq.
In December of 2004 a worldwide support forum was created. In hopes of providing a place where needs of our heroes can be fulfilled In July 2006 This "ordinary mother"s youngest son, Bretton Varn started Boot Camp and looks forward to serving his country. May God Bless Our Troops
We also wish to extend a grateful thank you to LA Police Gear for their generousity and help in supporting our troops! Scarlett's Letters 50% of all sales go to Soldiers' Angels! "Before I learned the calmative qualities of butter pecan ice cream, I thought seriously about taking my tea cup to the river. From my sister-in-law’s spur of the moment decision to dig up her husband’s grave, my daughter’s planned sabbatical to Kosovo, and my inability to grasp the simple concept of insurance deductibles as they relate to third person injuries incurred when a dependent is hit by a blue Bronco that is simultaneously licensed in two states with liberal Governors.
FEATURED CHARITY PARTNER The Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund was established in May 2004 by a nurse at Camp
Pendleton Naval Hospital, whose husband was deployed to Iraq. She saw first hand the
needs of those returning from battle and the financial impact on their families. She
brought together a group of Marine Corps spouses to implement a plan to help these
heroes and their families.
The purpose of the Veterans Airlift Command (VAC) is to provide air transportation for medical and other compassionate purposes to wounded warriors, veterans, and their families through a national network of volunteer aircraft owners and pilots. "I spent six months in a hospital 700 miles from my hometown recovering from combat injuries sustained while flying a helicopter in Vietnam. My healing began in earnest when my family was able to gather the resources to make a trip to visit me."
