In January 2005, Adam’s Attic released a new album, In the Blink of an Eye, featuring “Autumn”, dubbed as a soldier’s song.  “Autumn” is a very emotional song, which is already ceasing stunning reviews.  The band believes that a lot of people will connect when listening to it.  The band’s front man, Joe Henry said, “It’s our anthem for the troops for leaving their families and standing up for something bigger than themselves.  We cannot forget the real American heroes, our men and women risking their lives overseas.” 

Growing up in a military family, three of the five Adam’s Attic members understand the hardships and sacrifice of American Service Members and their families. Brothers, Joe and Derek Henry, formed a friendship with Scott Boaz when their fathers were stationed and retired at Naval Air Station New Orleans, now known as Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base New Orleans.

Especially, as the U.S. continues to send troops to Iraq continues, the Henrys can personally relate to the sacrifice.  For the past year and a half, the Henrys’ father has been working as a civilian contractor at Camp Buehring in Kuwait .  Additionally, the Henrys’ cousin, Jeremy Wright, just completed a deployment in Kirkuk , Iraq and returned home to his young wife and baby.  

Most of you who visit this site share a common bond of knowing an Armed Service Member serving our country.  It is Adam’s Attic’s hope that you will share the song “Autumn” with your soldiers and their loved ones.  The band hopes that you give of your time and make a donation to the Soldiers’ Angels Foundation.
