This song was written from the heart, one night in my hotel room. After turning on the news I was saddened by a Soldier sending an, “I love you” message out to his family he has not seen or held in a year. Home sick myself, after only a week away from my family, I was struck by everything that our Soldiers sacrifice for our Freedom. This is how the song, “ A Soldier Like You” was born . .
